This black lacquered yokohagi okegawa nimai-do gusoku 横萩桶川二枚胴具足 features a suji bachi of 32 plates made in iron, sanju ni ken with buffalo horns gilded using traditional Japanese armorsmith technique.

The armor bears a Kikyo kamon used by different noble families throughout its history.A rare gilded leather hanakami-bukuro pouch mounted on breastplate,with period toggle closure.Shows honest age wear, patina consistent with the last part of the Edo period .

Armor complete made in iron with a menpo, mask in black lacquer with natural hairs and mustache, and original sugake lacing in blue .The set includes a large antique storage chest from the period,matching the armor's age and provenance.
